Previewing an experience gives you a live view of your work without the need to publish. With the Preview Window, you can interact with your experience without having to leave Editor or open a new browser window. Additionally, any edits made to your experience are updated and visible in the Preview window in real-time.
The Preview window has three modes you can utilize while editing content in Editor.
Fullscreen preview:
As the name suggests, this mode provides a fullscreen view of your work with its designated scaling settings (Set in Studio). The Fullscreen preview is ideal for getting a good idea of what your final, published experience will look like.
Note, the Fullscreen preview is the default view when first opening an experience in Editor.
Entering Fullscreen preview:
Click the Expand icon in the top-right corner of the Windowed preview
Exiting Fullscreen preview:
There are three options for exiting the Fullscreen preview and re-entering the Windowed preview:
Click the Edit button in the top-right corner of the Preview Window
Click the Pause button in the top-center of the Preview Window
Press Spacebar
Note, the latter two options listed above will also pause the preview upon entering the Windowed preview.
Additional Fullscreen preview features:
In the Fullscreen preview, you can also:
Click the Restart button to reset the animations and interactions in your preview
Click the Adaptive Layouts button to switch between the desktop, tablet, and mobile variants of your experience (Adaptive Layouts for an experience must be set in Studio)
Windowed preview:
Located in the bottom right corner of the screen, this mode allows you to preview your experience without having to leave Edit mode. The Windowed preview is great for editing and previewing your experience simultaneously.
Additionally, in the Windowed preview, you can:
Click the Pause button to pause the preview
Click the Restart button to reset the preview
Click the Expand button to enter the Fullscreen preview
Click the Close button to minimize the preview window
Minimized preview
In this mode, the preview window is completely minimized to allow for more editing screen real estate. To open the Preview Window from this view, click the Play button.
