About this tool
This tool allows Editor users to crop and scale the size of an existing or replacement image to fit within the image’s bounding box. This can be done with various image types - small, large, masked, and rotated.
Please note:
- Editors can see the dimensions of an image in Editor once they've clicked on the image in Edit mode and then by hovering over the image with their cursor to understand the image replacement logic better.
- Editors cannot resize an image's bounding box within Editor, this tool will only enable you to crop and scale the existing or replacement image within the set bounding box created in Studio.
- Images cannot be moved in an experience within Editor from their positioning set within Studio.
How to use
- Select the image to crop/scale while viewing the experience in "Edit" mode within Editor.
- Select "Crop and Scale" from the image toolbar
- Images can be scaled with the scaling slider that will appear. You can either move the scaling slider manually or press the "-" and "+" buttons within the tool to scale the image. This scaling slider tool can be moved around the page if needed.
- You can move the image within the crop frame to position it as needed
- To save changes, click outside of the image on the page or press Escape on your keyboard
