Generating and Editing Images with Gemma

 

 

Gemma is capable of generating images based on your prompt. Using the latest version of Stable Diffusion, she can create impressive images that you can use within your projects right away!

Use fun and creative prompts to dynamically generate any image you need, and easily make changes with the editing tools found within Gemma!

Generate Images with Gemma

1. Go to web.gemma.ai and log in or sign up (it’s free)
2. Enter a prompt in the text input box asking Gemma for an image
   1. For better results try structuring your message like “Give me an image of…” or “Generate images of…”
3. Once she responds, you should have 4 images that Gemma will have interpreted from your prompt. You can do a few things with these generated images:
   1. Edit
      1. Magic Eraser Tool
      2. Remove Background
      3. Upscale (2x, 4x, 8x)
   2. Remove Background
   3. Upscale
   4. Download
   5. Copy URL
4. If her response is getting too long or is not what you are looking for, you can interrupt Gemma by clicking the Stop Generating button that appears in the text input box
5. Continue to chat with Gemma as normal

Tip: You can continue asking Gemma to change things about images she generates. Try asking her to generate the same images with different colors or art styles!

Edit Images with Gemma

Let’s dive a bit into editing images with Gemma.

Whether you ask to generate an image for you or if you upload an image using the uploader tool, you have the ability to do some light image editing within Gemma. You can access the edit tools within the additional options menu when you hover over the image, or click on Edit on the top right of the viewer window when you click to view the image larger.

Magic Eraser Tool

With the Magic Eraser Tool enabled, you can highlight an area on the image to clean up and remove unwanted anomalies. This is helpful when you don’t want to have to keep giving Gemma very specific instructions on things that you might not want within your image.

1. Click on an image to view it larger in a separate popup module
2. Expand the option for “Magic Eraser” on the right
3. Use the slider to select a Brush Size
4. Use your cursor to draw on the image where you want to use the Magic Eraser tool
5. Once you are satisfied with your selection, click “Apply” to confirm and Gemma will provide you with the modified image
6. Click “Done” to return back to the original chat, along with your new image

Upscale

Gemma will start with a basic image that she generates at 1024 x 1024px. If you want to make it larger and improve the quality of the generated image, you can use the upscale feature.

1. Click on an image to view it larger in a separate popup module
2. Expand the option for “Upscale” on the right
3. Select your upscaling preference: 
   1. 2x
   2. 4x
   3. 8x
4. Click “Done” to return back to the original chat, along with your new image

Remove Background

Isolate the main subject of your image and remove the background. The resulting image will be transparent in areas that were removed using this tool (Alpha PNG).

1. Click an image to view it larger in a separate popup module
2. Select the “Remove Background” option
3. Click “Done” to return you back to the original chat, along with your new image

Other Options

• Copy
  Copy the image to your clipboard to paste it in another program.
• Download
  Download the image to your computer.
• Copy URL
  Copy the image URL to your clipboard.
