The shape tool is a quick way to add these extra elements to your Experience. Whether it’s a background shape, an accent to make the design stand out, or even a button - shapes are versatile in the design process and easy to add and edit in Editor.
Adding Shapes
- In the Toolbar, select the Shape tool
- Select the desired shape
- Rectangle
- Triangle
- Oval
- Right Angle
- Line
- Draw out the shape on the Canvas
Editing Shapes
- Click on the desired shape to select it and open the Design Panel
- Make desired edits to the shape
- Position
- Dimensions
- Fill Color
- Opacity
- Stroke
- Or, select the “Advanced” toggle to access the more robust formatting options, including:
- States
- Rotation
- Corner Radius
- Shadow
Editing Custom Shapes
Editor allows you to edit Custom Shapes in the Experience. Custom Shapes are created using the Pen tool in the Studio. Editing these Custom Shapes is useful if you need to adjust the size, shape, color, and shadow of the shape.
Editing in the Design Panel
- Click on the desired custom shape to select it and open the Design Panel
- Make desired edits to the custom shapes
- Fill Color
- Stroke
- Or, select the “Advanced” toggle to access the more robust formatting options, including:
- States
- Rotation
- Opacity
- Shadow
Adjusting the custom shape size
- Double-click on the selected custom shape; this will show all of the points used to create the shape
- Select one of the circle points and move it to adjust the shape of that point
- Hold Option/Alt and click on a point to convert the point to a bezier curve.
