Ceros provides an extensive library of templates to all platform users. These templates function as a great starting point when creating content—they are fully customizable and you can edit and repurpose them however you’d like. There are a few different ways to use Ceros templates, you can repurpose an entire template to use as the backbone of a new experience that you’re creating, or you can take sections from different templates and copy and paste those into other experiences that you’re working on.
Here are some helpful tips and shortcuts when using templates:
Replacing Images
Using the Replace Image tool, you can quickly swap your own images into Ceros templates. While you can drag and drop images into the studio to use in Ceros templates, the Replace Image tool can save you a lot of time if you just want to make a quick image swap. This tool pulls up all of the files saved to your computer, and from there you can choose the image you’d like to swap in. The great thing about the Replace Image tool is it places the image on the same spot on the canvas and in the same spot in the layers panel as the original image so you don’t have to reorganize your assets. Using this tool will also ensure that any animations, interactivity, or image editing applied to the original image will carry over to the swapped in image as well.
Editing Text
To edit the text in a Ceros template, either double-click on the text box or click the “T” icon in the text layer of the layers panel to enter editing mode for that text element.
If the text is within a popup, carousel, or hidden behind a hover interaction, you’ll need to make sure you turn on the visibility of the layer by clicking the eyeball icon on the right-hand side of the layers panel.

From there you can edit the text in your hidden layers, and when you're done you can turn the visibility back off by toggling the eyeball icon again.
All of your typography settings are in the right-hand panel under the design tab, this is where you can change your text color, size, alignment, and more, as well as upload your own fonts. To upload your brand fonts, click the blue plus sign next to fonts to open the Font Explorer and from there you can import your font files.
Animations
If you’d like to replicate an animation from a template, the Copy + Paste animations shortcut is a great timesaver. Simply right click on the element with the animation that you’d like to replicate, select Copy Animations from the dropdown, and then right click on the element you’d like to apply them to and select Paste Animations.
Helpful Shortcuts
- The Canvas Adjustment Tool: The Canvas Adjustment Tool enables you to add or remove sections of space on your canvas anywhere you need. So when working with templates, if you’d like to delete a portion of the experience that you don’t need, you can delete the assets and use the Canvas Adjustment Tool to remove that section of canvas.
Conversely, if you’re looking to incorporate a portion of a template into another piece of content you’re working on, you can use the Canvas Adjustment Tool to add a new section of space into your experience where you can paste the portion of the template. - The Pan to Selection shortcut: The Pan to Selection shortcut is super helpful when working with templates. To leverage this tool, select an asset in your layers panel, and press the Spacebar key to pan the canvas to the exact location of that element. This can be really helpful when pasting elements from templates into your experience.
Tip: Instead of using the CMD+V or CTRL+V shortcut to paste, right click and select Paste Here. This will paste the element right where you want it to live on your canvas.
