Now that we’ve created a beautiful piece, we’re ready to share it with our customers. In this lesson, we will quickly cover how to publish an experience and where it can potentially live. To follow along, go ahead and upload the final experience to your account.
Simply put, to publish an experience, all you need to do is hit the publish button at the top of your screen. Once published, we will provide three different distribution options to get your content up and running on the web: two embedding options to place it directly within your site, as well as a standalone URL option that you can share with your users.
If you plan to embed an experience into your site, you’ll be able to choose from two options, full height or scrolling. For the most part, you will usually use the full height embed - which expands to fit any container you place Ceros into. However, you may have a use case for a smaller scrollable frame instead. Below, we’ve included a demo link to both of these embed types, so feel free to explore which one will fit your needs.
On the flip side, if you choose to have your content be a standalone experience, we will generate a URL for you to leverage. By default, this URL will have a “view.ceros” link, and the slug will be pulled from your title. However, both the subdomain and the URL slug can be customized at any point. To change the URL slug, navigate to the settings panel and adjust the URL portion as desired. And if you would like to set up a custom vanity domain instead, be sure to reach out to our customer success team, who can help walk you through the process.
The beautiful thing about any of these options is if you ever have to make changes to the content itself, you can do so without having to switch out the URL or change the embed code on
your site. The Ceros content will automatically update on the back end.
And that’s it! If you have any additional questions surrounding publishing, please feel free to reach out to us in the studio chat widget or explore Ceros Educate for more videos and articles.
