I usually have a ton of objects that I’ll lock for convenience when I’m working in Ceros Studio, like when I want to lock the background, images and shapes in a section I’m working in and simply focus on the text elements. Instead of having to fiddle around with the 🔒 icon for each an every one of those elements individually, there’s a super simple trick to toggle everything simultaneously!
Lock/Unlock a bunch of elements all at once:
Click on the parent folder/group (or select a bunch of elements at the same time)
The selecting the parent folder/group will select all of the elements contained inside, whether locked, unlocked, shown, or hidden
Toggle Lock/Unlock–either through the right-click menu or using the period (.) hotkey on your keyboard.
The entire selection will toggle between locked and unlocked if there is a mixture of properties within the selected elements (ie. if the selection has mixed properties, all elements will be locked when triggering the lock hotkey. all elements will toggle to unlocked if triggered again)
Bonus Tip: Hold the L key on your keyboard and left click on locked elements on the canvas to select it without having to unlock it 💡 !
Super simple and easy trick that comes in very handy at times, especially when we want ensure anything contained in a folder/group won't get left behind when we start to move it around 😀 !
