The Toolbar contains the various tools you'll use when creating content in Flex. Each tool serves a different purpose in the content creation process, as outlined in the section below.
Tools on the Toolbar
Pages and Layers Panel:
Used to view, search for, select, hide, and lock the various pages and layers in your experience across all its responsive layouts. Specifically with the Pages section, you can add new pages to your experience.
Add Section and Components Tool:
Used to open the Sections and Components Panel. Within the panel, you can quickly add pre-built sections and components to the canvas, which can then be updated for your specific use case.
Selection Tool:
Used to select, move, and manipulate content on the canvas.
Pan Tool:
Used to freely navigate around the Flex workspace without selecting assets. Click and hold, then move your mouse/trackpad to pan.
Text Tool:
Used to add text boxes to the canvas.
Shape Tool:
Used to add shapes, such as rectangles, triangles, ovals, and right triangles, to the canvas.
Media Tool:
Used to add images and videos to the canvas. Currently, in Flex, you can only upload images stored locally on your computer to your experience.
Custom Embed Tool:
Used to create containers for embedded content on the canvas.
Toolbar Keyboard Shortcuts:
Simply select a tool on the Toolbar to begin using it. Alternatively, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts to increase content creation efficiency:
