I love promoting brands. I hate promoting myself. So, hold on. This might get bumpy. 😅
For as long as I can remember, my career has been focused on promoting and driving customer success. It's interesting how l got here. In short, my HR manager of 5 years, who I considered a mentor, left to grow her career with a new company, then recruited me to apply for an open job. It was an Account Manager role reporting directly to the DVP of Merchandising. Not having a fancy resume or prior experience had me hesitant. She assured me that my interpersonal communication skills and outgoing personality would make a great fit. Fast forward to the interview. He hired me the same day. By 6 months, out of the blue, I received a significant salary bump for performance. Quite a high!
Working mainly in the retail & marketing industry, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a lot of big name brands. I started in 1st & 3rd party merchandising, then through my love of networking (and shopping), I migrated to digital eCommerce. Being a mom of 4 daughters, 2 dogs, 2 birds, a cat, and some houseplants, I was already an avid online shopper and time-saving, life-hack seeker. So, shifting to the digital world was an easy decision that I'm still so glad I made. I'm fascinated with this ever-evolving, technology driven industry and I love how my personal lifestyle fits into what I do day-to-day to support brands online presence.
I use the conveniences of todays amazing technology every day and still geek out over new creative platforms, using AI, retailer algorithms, other interactive tools, new trends, (etc.) and how I'm paid to learn about it all!
When I’m not online “working” or searching for adoptable pets I don’t need, I'm busy being a cool soccer mom, playing chauffeur, maybe involved in a random adventure that I couldn’t say no to, or at home being a slave and jungle gym to tiny humans. My doormat says “Welcome to the Shitshow” for a reason. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. Helping and doing nice things for people brings me joy. Being a respectful and courteous person also brings me joy. I dislike rude or pushy people.
In a nutshell: I’m very transparent, easy-going, intuitive, curious, enthusiastic, empathetic, respectful, capable, independent, determined, and loyal. I'm not shy or easily embarrassed. I care about health and fitness. I'm a momma bear nicknamed "Momma C". I give back, mentor & volunteer. I value & promote healthy work/home life balance. I’m Neurodiverse & rather fun to be around, when fed. 😉
To my former HR manager & mentor, now friend - thank you! 🥰
