Text on the canvas is contained within text boxes. So, to add text to your experience, you must first add a text box to the canvas:
Navigate to the Toolbar in Design or Animate mode
Select the Text Tool
Draw a text box on the canvas
Type the desired text in the text box
Once the text is added, select the text box in the Layers Panel, then navigate to the Inspector Panel to make adjustments to the text/text box, including:
Setting text box positioning, sizing, and scaling properties
Adjusting text box padding
Changing font attributes
Font
Size
Weight
Alignment
Casing
Listing
Assign or create Text Styles
Blend mode and Opacity
Fill color
