How to Add and Edit Images in Flex

Flex allows you to upload images from your computer to an experience. Once an image is added to the canvas, you can use the Inspector Panel to make additional adjustments and edits.

Adding an Image to the Canvas

  1. Navigate to the Toolbar

  2. Select the Image Tool

  3. Select the target image from your computer's file management window

  4. Select Open to upload the image to your experience

Editing an Image

Flex allows you to make the following edits to an image on the canvas:

  • Change its position type

  • Adjust its size

  • Change its appearance

    • Blend mode

    • Opacity

    • Visibility

  • Add a border radius and stroke

  • Replace the image

  • Adjust image settings

    • Fit style

    • Crop

    • Brightness

    • Contrast

    • Saturation

    • Hue

    • Sepia

    • Invert

  • Add and adjust shadow

To apply any of the above edits to an image:

  1. Select the image on the canvas or in the Layers Panel

  2. Navigate to the Appearance section of the Inspector Panel while in Design Mode

  3. Make desired edits to the image

All edits made to an image are automatically saved.

Adding Alt Text to an Image

Alt text is an accessibility feature that allows screen readers to describe images on the canvas. To add alt text to an image:

  1. Select the target image on the canvas or in the Layers Panel

  2. Navigate to the Accessibility section of the Inspector Panel while in Design mode

  3. Select the + icon (Add alt text)

  4. Add the alt text describing the image to the Alt Text field
