Single sign on (SSO) enables you to log into multiple applications and platforms using only one set of login credentials.
For you as an individual, this can speed up your day to day tasks as you won’t have to take the time to log into multiple tools. From your company’s standpoint, SSO gives your organization one central place to manage all users for all applications, which is far more efficient when onboarding & offboarding employees. It also enables your organization to manage and enforce its own login restrictions (think multi-factor identification, password strength, etc.).
If your organization is interested, you can set up SSO for Ceros. This way, your team will be able to log into Ceros without a password when you are logged into your identity provider (e.g. Google Apps).
How do I set up SSO for Ceros?
If you’re interested in setting up SSO for your company’s Ceros account, the first thing to do is reach out to your Account Manager, they can kick the process off for you. From there, we’ll need to connect our authentication Service Provider (we use Okta) to your Identity Provider. Our authentication provider supports SAML and LDAP standards, as well as a number of IdPs including Google Apps, Ping, Okta, and Azure AD.
There are two main components to the SSO connection, we’ll need to configure one part in our Service Provider, and you’ll need to configure the other part in your IdP. Our support team will walk you through the process to do this on your end.
Once we complete this on both ends, we’ll be able to complete the connection. When this process is finished, we’ll invite your users to your Ceros account and they will be able to log into the platform via SSO, with no password needed.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, and if you’d like to set up SSO for your Ceros account, please reach out to your Account Manager at Ceros.
