Setting Up Your Team - Members and Guests

There are two types of users you can work with in MarkUp.io: Members and Guests. How you plan to collaborate will determine which user type you should assign each collaborator.

You can send a Guest invite to people who need to provide specific feedback, but won’t need full access to the Workspace in the future, such as external stakeholders or clients.

To a MarkUp:

To invite the user as a Guest:

You have three options:

  1. Find the MarkUp in your Workspace that you want to share. Hover over the MarkUp, and click ‘Share’.

  2. You can share either via link or email address.

Or;

  1. Whilst in the MarkUp, click ‘Share’ in the bottom right corner.

  2. Share the MarkUp either via link or email address.

Or;

  1. Whilst in the MarkUp, copy the browser URL.

  2. Paste and share in any communication channel you wish!

To a Folder:

To invite the user as a Guest:

  1. Click into the Folder you would like to share.

  2. Click the three dots in the right-hand corner.

  3. Click ‘Share Folder’.

  4. Share the Folder either via link or email address.

To invite the user as a Member:

  1. Click into the Folder you would like to share

  2. Click ‘Invite’ in the top right hand corner

  3. Add the email address of the Team Member you would like to invite

To your Workspace:

This will invite the user as a Member.

  1. Go to the ‘Team’ tab from your Workspace.

  2. Click ‘Invite’.

  3. Add the email address of the collaborator and send them an invitation.

You can manage all collaborators via the ‘Team’ tab in your Workspace, for both Members and Guests! Check out our 'Best Practices: Team Set up - Members & Guests' article for more information.
