Using Ceros Assets in Studio

The Ceros Assets within Studio’s Asset Library allow you to rapidly drag and drop customizable interactive assets directly onto the Canvas. Whether using them as-is for a project on a tight deadline or as a starting point for a fully branded experience, Ceros Assets helps you save time and speed up your design process.

How to Add Ceros Assets to an Experience:

  1. Open the Asset Library Panel from the Toolbar

  2. Click on the “Ceros Assets” folder

  3. Select an asset category from the 20 available categories

  4. Drag and drop an asset directly onto the Canvas

How to Edit Ceros Assets:

As with all interactive assets in Studio, Ceros Assets are comprised of multiple elements grouped together in the Layers Panel. Aside from the “Formatted Text” category, all Ceros Assets include Hover States and basic “On Click” interactions (which lead to the Ceros homepage by default). More complex assets, such as those found in the various “Carousels” and “Data Visuals” categories, may include additional types of interactions and/or animations.

Previewing a Ceros Asset once it has been added to the Canvas is recommended to understand its interactive functionality. Once you have a grasp on how the selected asset functions, you can then proceed to edit any aspect of it, including:

  • Size

  • Position

  • Orientation

  • Colors

  • Interactions

  • Animations

  • Text

  • Images

  • States

  • Add new or remove elements

  • And much more

Remember, all Ceros Assets are built natively in Studio, so they can be edited and updated like any other group on the Canvas. As mentioned, Ceros Assets can serve as a strong starting point to save time when creating interactive experiences.

Note: Ceros Assets are a New Text Tool-compatible feature. Though all new and most existing experiences are using the New Text Tool, some older experiences may need to go through a one-time upgrade before using Ceros Assets. Check out our Using the (New) Text Tool to learn more.

How to Save Updated Ceros Assets:

Ceros Assets you edit can then be saved to any custom account Asset Category in the Asset Library. For example, if you update a Tab Menu Ceros Asset with your company’s branding, you can then save it as a new asset in a Category called “Branded Assets.” To do so:

  1. Select the modified Ceros Asset

  2. Right click

  3. From  the dropdown menu, select “Save to Asset Libary”

  4. From the popout window, select the desired account Asset Category

Alternatively, you can use the Contextual Toolbar to save modified Ceros Assets.

All modified Ceros Assets saved in an account Asset Category can be reused in future projects by you or anyone with access to your account Asset Library.

Note: Modified Ceros Assets can not be re-saved to the “Ceros Assets” Category.

Ceros Assets and Hotspots:

For universal compatibility across Studio and Editor, Ceros Assets have interactions applied directly to the assets rather than using Hotspots. It’s recommended to keep the interactive functionality this way; however, if you prefer to use Hotspots:

  1. Select the desired Ceros Asset

  2. Remove the interaction using the Interact Panel

  3. Place a Hotspot over the asset (or wherever you would like the user to trigger the interaction)

  4. With the Hotspot selected, replicate the interaction using the Interact Panel

Essentially, you are moving (or recreating) the interaction to the Hotspot from the Ceros Asset.

After completing the above process, the updated asset and Hotspot can be saved together in the Asset Library for future use. To do so:

  1. Select both the modified asset and Hotspot

  2. Right click

  3. From  the dropdown menu, select “Save to Asset Libary”

  4. From the popout window, select the desired account Asset Category

Note: Hotspots are incompatible with Editor, so modified assets utilizing them can be added to an experience in Editor, but the interactions can not be updated.
