Padding is the internal spacing within an element’s boundaries, creating breathing room between content and edges. Adjusting Padding in Flex can help to improve readability and overall visual balance in your designs.

Padding can be adjusted for:

To adjust a target's padding:

  1. Select the target (the canvas, a section, a group, or a text box) on the canvas or via the Layers Panel

  2. Navigate to the "Layout" section of the Inspector Panel while in Design mode

  3. Type in the padding value in the Padding field

    • You can switch between px and % values by clicking the right side of the Padding field

  4. Press the Enter key to apply the inputted padding value to all sides of the target

Additionally, you can select the Independent paddings button next to the Padding field to adjust each side of the target's padding independently.
